Artificially Created Images

In an effort to bring new light on exactly what happened, these images have been created. This system, partially developed by "500" Race Photographer Jack Reynolds, makes it possible to view the accident from various viewpoints.  Please bear in mind that NONE of these pictures are real.  All of them have been artificially created.  Most of them are very accurate and possible in their makeup and they will be treated as real in the captions.  They have been separated from all original photographs so there is no mistake over what is real and what is not.  No artificial images will be included in any section of authentic photographs.  With most of the images it is possible to immediately determine their authenticity. However, there are a few that defy detection. These pictures were made using two or more photos and a base photo and then combining them to create a heretofore unavailable view of the accident and other scenes. Through the use of tools available on photo imaging programs such as cloning, layering, selection brushes, moving etc., the images were made.  If anyone feels they can utilize this process and can come up with a suitable image to give a greater understanding of the accident, please send them and they will be posted in this section.  Some of these images are very dramatic and bring out strong emotions.  Please bear in mind that all of them are artificially created photos and were done not to shock or offend. They were created for the purpose of further understanding the biggest event in the history of the Indy 500.
